Cheers to queers, part deux!

We finished our volleyball season last night and celebrated with beer, onion rings, nachos and a grilled cheese.

George's team ended up with a bronze medal. Looks wonderful hanging from his neck.

My team however, failed on all counts. Despite the fact that we ended up 3rd overall for the season, we couldn't pull anymore luck out of our collective assess to win the playoff games. Sadly, i went home naked.

A big cheers to George and his medal!

Cheers to queers!

Yet another curling season has come to a sweeping conclusion! (Get it? get it?)

It came down to the final rock of the entire season... and yes... our skip actually made a shot! We won Gold in F Division. Truly a good finale considering it was the first year for our team and George's first time playing!

I was hoping George was going to win rookie of the year cause he truly deserved it, but alas, he didn't.

Yes, we have a gay old time in the gay curling league. Cheers to us!

Concert

We saw Kathleen Edwards the other night at The Phoenix. And it was awesome.

I'm a huge, huge fan and George, well, he never heard of her. But because he's a sweety, he gladly humoured me and came along for the ride.

So who was that cheering and whistling ?? Yes, George.

I think he likes Kathleen a little bit now.

She played all my favourite songs, plus her most wonderful new ones, including the stunning Alicia Ross. We ended up right in front of the stage so we could see Kathleen sweat as she rocked out. And I got one of the cookies she threw out into the audience. I shall cherish forever.

bloomin'!

It's springtime... and all the bulbs we planted last year are starting to bloom. Yeah! Here's our first Daffodil.

I think this is what it feel like when giving birth to first child.
